A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the session, and pigment is placed in the upper layers of the skin.
4The touch up
A perfecting session 4 to 6 weeks later completes the color and detail.

Who performs it?
Marcela Botero, who maps, color matches and performs every permanent makeup treatment at AWE.
Is it comfortable?
A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable.
What areas can be treated?
The brows (microblading, powder brows and hybrid brows), the lips (lip blush) and the eyes (lash line enhancement and eyeliner).
Is there downtime?
Very little. Mild redness or swelling can appear right after, with light peeling or flaking for 7 to 10 days as the pigment heals. You leave with aftercare and a post care kit.
How many sessions will I need?
Most guests have a first session and one perfecting touch up 4 to 6 weeks later. The color softens by about a third as it heals, to reveal your true shade.
How long does it last?
Usually 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin and lifestyle, with a touch up every 12 to 18 months to keep it fresh.
